A conspiracy that can be proven with evidence, is always based on the maintenance of POWER and CONTROL. The decline in investigative journalism, has allowed valid conspiracies to be swallowed up and nullified by association with escalating, baseless, even ludicrous conspiracy theories, disconnected from reality and evidence, but which serve a hidden goal and agenda – a valid conspiracy hidden within a conspiracy theory.
Trump in a tweet (22.08.2020) promoted a conspiracy theory unsupported by evidence that the “Deep State” was delaying a coronavirus vaccine until after the election. “The deep state, or whoever, over at the FDA is making it very difficult for drug companies to get people in order to test the vaccines and therapeutics,” he wrote. “Obviously, they are hoping to delay the answer until after November 3rd. Must focus on speed, and saving lives!” Conspiracy theorists might say his theory was supported when on Monday 9th November Pfizer the giant pharmaceutical company announced the development of a coronavirus vaccine. This alone is not evidence however for the “Deep State”.
…Ironically that incident is a classic vignette of the modus operandi of the “Deep State”, or what I prefer to term ‘A State within a State’ or a ‘State above a State’ and the use of conspiracy theories, to nullify valid conspiracies based on evidence.
